Jetting V2

Two jobs, one morning – and zero delays

By Michael Walther

Some mornings get off to a fast start – today was one of them. At 07:00, we met up at headquarters to load the gear for a scheduled fiber installation. Just as we were about to head out, the phone rang – an urgent job had just come up on the other side of the municipality. Two installations before office hours? No problem. We made a quick plan and got moving

On Site and Ready to Roll

The first installation remained the top priority. By 07:30, we were on site and setting up. We assembled the Jetting Working Table and positioned the cable drum. The equipment – Jetting V2 and Jetluber – was ready to go within five minutes.

We began, as always, by blowing lubricant and cleaning plugs through the ducts to clear out any dirt or moisture. A clean path makes a big difference when it comes to installation quality and speed.

Smooth progress

The first cable was 1100 meters and started off at around 150 m/min. After 450 meters, the speed had dropped to 65 m/min, so we switched on the air. With 6.5 bar pressure, the cable picked up speed again, finishing at around 85 m/min.

The second cable – 510 meters – was installed without air. Once both cables were marked and secured, we packed up and hurried back to HQ to return the cable drum.

Next stop

At 08:30 sharp, we rolled into the second site – straight to work, no delays, no downtime. Everything clicked. It’s moments like these that show the power of solid planning, hands-on experience, and having the right machine by your side.

This morning, we used the Jetting V2 – our go-to for reliable, right-on-time performance. No fuss, just results.
